PerspAKTIV cordially invites you to a side event of Aliaksandr Belsky’s exhibition Nemesish

This Thursday at 18.30 pm we organise an artist talk with participation of:

︎︎︎ Aliaksandr Belsky (BY/ DE) — artist and author of the exhibition whose works were banned from Art Minsk exhibition in 2022

︎︎︎ Prof. Dr. Mateusz Kapustka (PL/ CH/ DE) — professor for art history in Eastern Europe, Department of Art and Visual History at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin

︎︎︎ Anna Chistoserdova (BY/ DE) — co-founder and artistic director Y gallery of contemporary art, co-founder and project manager Ambasada Kultury (to be confirmed).

︎︎︎ Moderated by Tatiana Bogacheva, curator and art historian.
Aliaksandr Belsky’s works are a reflection on the events in Belarus after the rigged elections in 2020 and the start of the war on Ukraine in 2022. In an interactive conversation between the three cultural practitioners, we speak about art and visual culture of Eastern and East-Central Europe as confronted with contemporary monstrosity with reference to Aliaksandr Belsky’s works currently on display at HdS.
